silk and wool, free-motion machine stitch, cotton batt,

"Blue Flowers" is a happy piece, combining various
techniques and mediums. Cotton fabric forms the canvas onto
which the flower, stems and leaves are appliqued, then
painted. The background is also painted and embellished with
stitch. The flowers have centers of felted silk and wool and
accented with thread painting.
